i fell in love with ceramics when i graduated from smith college and discovered the ceramics studio on my last day at the college. by the time i got back to SF, i was was desperately looking to try it. i took a few classes at Clayroom Soma, The Potter's Studio in Berkeley, and Hickory Clay in the Mission. I even managed to convince my first company to take us there for a retreat in 2019.

i've been a member at Hickory Clay in the Mission district of San Francisco since April of 2025. These are all works I made there.

Each piece is thrown with porcelain and I use temoku and black glazes for each piece to be special. I never know what each piece will turn out like in the process of creating them. Each one is a surprise and a surrender to nature, fire, and the elements.
